Read moreA busy design studio had a problem. It couldn't find a time tracker that the team actually wanted to use. Working grudgingly with existing solutions, the team often would neglect to accurately track their time. The studio had difficulty keeping fixed costs projects on budget and billing accurately for hourly work.
The studio figured a time tracker that was flexible and easy to use would mean people would capture more billable hours. So, seeing nothing comparable on the market, one man at the studio took it upon himself to create one. He figured it would take a long weekend to complete. He was a little surprised when it took over 1,000 hours to turn a prototype into something refined and fun.
The studio later folded but OfficeTime lived on fuelled by the passion of its creator. OfficeTime grew through real-world feedback from its somewhat fanatical fan base.
Today OfficeTime is supported by a small team in Europe, the US and further afield. It has received overwhemingly positive reviews for its Mac, PC, iPhone and iPad versions. The team actively solitics feedback from everyone who uses it and has released hundreds of free refinements back to the community.
